Shifen Waterfall in Pingxi District, New Taipei City

Located in the suburbs of northern Taiwan, Shifen Waterfall is easily accessible by car or train from Taipei City to Shifen Station. The waterfall is quite spectacular, surrounded by beautiful forest scenery. The viewing platform even lets you feel the refreshing spray from the waterfall!

It is recommended to first visit Shifen Old Street near Shifen Station, where you can stroll around and release a sky lantern. Then, take a leisurely hike up to Shifen Waterfall, which is about a 20-30 minute walk from the station. You can also pair this trip with a visit to Jiufen! A-Mei Tea House in Jiufen is highly recommended for its stunning night views 🌃. You can enjoy the scenery from day to night, experiencing different kinds of beauty.
