Jianzhu Hai: Autumn Tints Dyeing the Emerald Waters

Jianzhu Hai (Arrow Bamboo Lake) is situated in the Rize Gully of Jiuzhaigou. It derives its name from the vast stretches of arrow bamboo growing along its shores, a favorite food of giant pandas. The lake stretches wide and long, with crystal-clear, azure waters resembling a massive mirror that perfectly reflects the lush surrounding forests and drifting clouds.

In autumn, the shrubs and trees along the shoreline are bathed in golden hues, creating a vivid contrast with the lake’s emerald-green tones. Within the lake, calcium-coated logs—sometimes sprouting young saplings—form the unique phenomenon of "new life sprouting from decay." This site was once a filming location for the movie Hero, adding a touch of cinematic blend of heroic grandeur and subtle emotion to its scenery. A stroll along the wooden boardwalks allows visitors to immerse themselves in the tranquility and vitality of this landscape.
