The dance hall (lower worship hall) of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine where Shizuka Gozen danced

Dance Hall (Lower Worship Hall)
A famous anecdote is Shizuka Gozen's dance from "Azuma Kagami." When she performed the dance at the command of Minamoto no Yoritomo, she sang a song expressing her love for Yoshitsune, enraging him. Shizuka Gozen's life was saved thanks to the intercession of Yoritomo's wife, Hojo Masako. Today, the hall is used for various ceremonies and events, such as the Hatchet Ceremony, the Dedication Ceremony, and the Iris Festival, as well as weddings. The grounds are bustling with attendees on festival days.
