Kamakura is a small town just 1 hour from Tokyo that has everything from cute restaurants, cafes, a seaside promenade, and the most incredible sunsets.
🚞How to get there:
You can take a train from Tokyo to Kamakura station, then transfer to the Enoden line (local train) to various places around Kamakura.
Places:
📌Kotokuin temple
Station: Hase station, then walk for another 10 minutes. Just follow the crowds, you won't get lost.
Admission fee: 300 yen
Opening - Closing time: 08.00 - 16.30
📌The Sunrise Shrack
Station: Inamuragasaki station
Opening - Closing time: 07.00 - 18.00
A cute cafe by the beach There are not many drinks here. The taste is so-so.
Let's just say that you come for the atmosphere because the light is good and the photos are beautiful.
📌Cafe Yoridokoro
Station: Inamuragasaki station
Opening - closing hours: 07.00 - 17.00 Closed on Tuesdays
A restaurant on the side of the railway with a gimmick: a grilled fish set served with raw eggs and an egg beater. We have to beat the egg whites ourselves until they are fluffy like a cloud and put them on the rice. Let me tell you, my hands hurt sooooo bad.
I recommend booking in advance because the shop is quite small.
📌Kamakurakoko-mae station
A train station with a popular photo spot from Slam Dunk, but it's very crowded. Actually, just the station itself is already beautiful. The sunset is so fake that no matter how you take a photo, it's beautiful.
