Kamakura Day Trip

Immerse yourself in the charm of Japan's ancient capital. Start your journey at the bustling Komachi Street, where you can savor local snacks and shop for unique souvenirs. Next, visit the historic Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine to experience its solemn atmosphere and seasonal scenery. For lunch, there are plenty of options, including Western-style cafes and traditional Japanese cuisine. When in Kamakura, don't miss the chance to try soba noodles at a local, long-established shop—absolutely delicious! ❤️

In the afternoon, head to the famous Great Buddha of Kamakura. Take the Enoden train to Hase Station, and after a 7-8 minute walk, you'll arrive. For just 300 yen, you can admire the 13-meter-tall bronze Buddha statue and soak in the serene, historical ambiance—it's well worth it! For an additional 50 yen, you can even step inside the Buddha statue to explore its interior. However, the space is quite narrow, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or very young children.

Kamakura seamlessly blends history, culture, and nature, making it a perfect choice for an in-depth day trip near Tokyo.
