Kamakura is famously known as the setting for Slam Dunk, with its picturesque train tracks that exude a quintessential Japanese vibe, making it a well-known tourist destination. Being just about an hour away, it's a perfect spot for a hassle-free day trip. :)
🤍Hotel ▶ Head to Kamakura Station
🤍Kamakura Komachi Street
This is Kamakura's commercial area, filled with street food, restaurants, and cafes. Since it's near the seaside, I thought sushi would taste even better here, so I focused on searching for sushi places.
Misaki Conveyor Belt Sushi: Opens at 11am
Sushi to Sake NAKANIWA: Nakaniwa Sushi Restaurant opens at 11:30am
+ Kamakura Beachside Restaurants
Matsubaraan: A green citrus soba restaurant
Yoridokoro: Japanese home-style meals right in front of the train tracks
🤍Take the Enoden Train to Enoshima Station
I've heard that the scenery from the cute Enoden train is like a work of art. Generally, you can use the Enoden Pass (800 yen maybe...) to hop on and off as much as you like. After getting off at Enoshima Station, I'll grab some Enoshima pudding, quickly explore Enoshima Island, and then head to the next station!
🤍Kamakura Koko-mae Station: Capture a video of the train passing by with the sea in the background
🤍Shichirigahama Beach: Walk straight down towards the sea from Shichirigahama Station / It's breathtaking during sunset 😭
🤍Inamuragasaki Station: Take photos of Mt. Fuji + the sunset
I'll gaze at the sky until sunset, then head back to Kamakura Station and return to Tokyo Station.
