【Hokkaido】Sounkyo: The Frozen Meteor Waterfall and Milky Way Waterfall

During winter in Hokkaido, Sounkyo transforms into a magical snow-covered wonderland, with even the famous Meteor Waterfall (Ryusei-no-taki) and Milky Way Waterfall (Ginga-no-taki) blanketed in ice and snow.

The spectacular Meteor Waterfall has frozen into a shimmering ice sculpture, resembling a crystal meteor descending from the heavens and suspended within the gorge. Surrounding the waterfall, thick layers of snow create a stunning scene where white snowflakes and ice crystals glisten together.
