Legend has it that in 1942 , while visiting Wudang to investigate Quaternary glacial relics, Li Siguang was so captivated by the beauty that he lingered.
The canyon boasts a diverse and magical landscape. Besides the breathtaking canyon scenery, numerous caves can be found deep in the dense forests and between cliffs. Caves like " Wangtian Hall , " " Tongtian Cave , " " Shenxian Cave , " and " Rhino Cave " offer a variety of unique stalactites, each with its own unique appearance and charm, sure to amaze you with its captivating spectacle.
Among the many scenic views, the most legendary is the " Golden Turtle Supporting the Bridge . " Nestled between the steep river valleys, a giant rock resembling a turtle supports a bridge spanning the valley. Amidst the turbulent currents, the " giant turtle " sways in the waves, rising and falling in a vivid, lifelike manner. There's a beautiful legend surrounding the " Golden Turtle Supporting the Bridge , " which is why the area is named " Lover's Valley . "
