Myoryuji Temple a.k.a. The Ninja Temple 🥷

Address: 1 Chome-2-12 Nomachi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 921-8031, Japan

Getting there: You can take a bus and stop at Hirokoji bus stop. From there you only need to walk about five minutes to reach the temple.

Highlights: The Myoryuji Temple also commonly known as the Ninja Temple. To be honest, it is not actually associated with ninja, but the temple earned its nickname because of its many deceptive defences.😆

There are guided tour provided in Japanese. For non-Japanese tourist there is also English guidebooks available. It was really interesting to learn about the history of the temple and how it was designed to serve as a disguised military outpost.

Opening hours: 9am to 4pm daily

Admission fee: 1000yen per person, slightly expensive but definitely worth it. 😬
