One of Taiwan's largest and most impressive Buddhist attractions, Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum opened in late 2011. Featuring a colossal Buddha statue and two large pagodas on either side, and a mountain backdrop, it has become one of Taiwan's most popular landmarks.
It is said to be the most visited tourist attraction in Taiwan, located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of the Kaohsiung suburbs.
The museum is divided into various sections, including the largest Buddhist museum in Taiwan, home to a relic of the Buddha's tooth. There are eight pagodas, a giant front hall, and other buildings.
