Half-Day Trip to Karuizawa

After visiting Kusatsu Onsen, you can arrive in Karuizawa around noon and start with lunch. Then, head to Hoshino Onsen, where there’s a nearby coffee shop called Maruyama Coffee. The coffee there is quite good, priced around 600 to 700 yen. You can choose to dine in or take out, and they also offer tea and snacks. Inside the shop, you can opt for hand-drip coffee, but since I was going to the onsen, I chose takeout.

Karuizawa gives off a very relaxing vibe, and once you visit, you’ll want to go back again. After soaking in the onsen, you can take a bus directly to Karuizawa Station. Across from the station is the Karuizawa Outlet, perfect for a shopping spree. Just remember that the Karuizawa Outlet closes at 7 PM.
