[Izu, Kawazu Town] Kawazu Cherry Blossoms

Kawazu cherry blossoms are early-blooming cherry trees that begin to bloom in early February.

The Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival attracts many tourists every year and is a lively event.

About 850 cherry trees bloom along the Kawazu River, making a total of about 8,000 cherry trees in bloom.

During the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival, many outdoor stalls, cherry blossom illuminations, and various events are held, so we expect even more people to come, so we decided to go a little earlier, keeping in mind the crowds.

It turned out that going a little earlier was a good idea, because when I finished looking around and was leaving, a huge number of people came out of the station... (phew). There was no line when I used the toilet, but there was a long line when I went back...

And there were a lot of foreigners there!
