The Thai Red Cross Society Rajakarun Center, Khao Lan was originally called the Thai Red Cross Society Center, Khao Lan, which was created by the grace of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, President of the Thai Red Cross Society, who gave a royal command to establish a Cambodian refugee center at Ban Khao Lan and visited the refugees in 1979.

After the refugee reception, it was developed into a tourist attraction and museum to be used as a source of learning and tourism.
