Kon Pha Peng in the Southern Lao PDR

Khone Phapheng Waterfall (Lao: ນ້ຳຕົກຕາດຄອນພະເພັງ) is a large and famous waterfall in the Indochina region. Khone Phapheng Waterfall is a multi-tiered waterfall located on a large rocky rapids that blocks the flow of the entire Mekong River.

Khon Phapheng Waterfall is 21 meters high and has a fast-flowing current, making it dangerous to swim in.

Khon Phapheng Waterfall is nicknamed the "Niagara of Asia" and is located in Champasak Province, Laos, about 150 kilometers from Pakse. It is one of the most famous and beautiful tourist attractions in Laos.

The word "Khon" means "rapids" or "island" and "Phapeng" means "full moon".
