Balos Lagoon, Crete

Balos is one of those beaches that doesn’t look real—it’s that beautiful. The lagoon has layers of blue and pink sand, and the water is warm, shallow, and crystal-clear. Getting there involves a bumpy drive or a boat ride, but once you arrive, it feels like you’ve discovered paradise. I spent the entire day just soaking in the views and swimming between the islets. It’s wild, exotic, and completely serene.
