Balos Lagoon (Crete)

Reaching Balos Lagoon was an adventure in itself, but the reward was incredible. The shallow, turquoise lagoon meeting a deeper blue sea looked like a painting. Walking barefoot across the sandbars, I felt like I was in the Caribbean. The wild, rocky landscape around the lagoon added to the beauty, making it feel exotic and untouched. I spent hours swimming in the shallow waters, sunbathing on the soft sand, and admiring the panoramic views from the cliffs.
