Kokura Half Day Flash

Fukuoka solo travel day 1-2
We stayed at Hotel Relief Annex at night. It is a hotel with many comic books for rent on the second floor and udon and curry rice available 24 hours a day in the lobby on the first floor. (It happened to be the Emperor's birthday holiday in Japan, so accommodation in downtown Fukuoka was extremely expensive)
The next morning, after checking out, we strolled to Dango Market and Uomachi Ginten Street (but it was too early and many stores were not open yet), then we walked to Kokura Castle. There are many stylish single-family houses along the street. The Yasaka Shrine next to Kokura Castle is worth a visit. You can also stroll along the Kitakyushu Riverside Pedestrian Street. Later, we returned to the more lively Uomachi Ginten Street, had the conveyor belt sushi, and then strolled to Kokura Station to take the bus back to Fukuoka.
