Fukuoka - Karato Market - Mojiko - Kokura

At the end of May, I took my parents on a trip to Fukuoka. Since it was the rainy season, we had to plan outdoor activities flexibly according to the weather forecast. Fortunately, with trip.com, we were able to purchase a JR PASS at the last minute. We opted for the JR Kyushu MOBILE PASS, Fukuoka Wide Area 2-Day Pass.

Our first stop was Karato Market, which happened to be hosting the "Ikiiki Bakangai" event on Friday. We chose a shop with a relatively short line, and the sushi quality was truly impressive. Afterward, we took a ferry to the Mojiko Retro District for a leisurely stroll. Then, we headed to Kokura to visit Kokura Castle. The attractions in Kokura are quite concentrated, making it easy and enjoyable to explore. Of course, we also stopped by Montbell to pick up a few pieces of clothing. I regret not buying the 15L backpack, but there’s always next time.

Finally, we returned to Fukuoka and found a restaurant at Hakata Station with no waiting line to wrap up our day, which totaled 19,000 steps.

Although the weather was overcast and not ideal, being able to travel with my parents made me incredibly happy.
