Kokura, the hometown of the author of Galaxy Express 999

Kokura in Northern Kyushu is usually visited in the order of Kokura-Mojiko-Shimonoseki. I also got off for a while to take a look around because it was a transfer station before going to Mojiko.
Maybe it's because it's the hometown of the author of Galaxy Express 999, but models of characters from the manga greeted me from the station.
I passed the Kokura Market and saw the beautiful Kokura Castle.
It was nice that there was no separate admission fee to see Kokura Castle from the front!
