I recently visited the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, a fantastic cultural spot in Kobe! I took the subway two stops from Sannomiya to Iwaya Station, and to my surprise, Iwaya even has its own little theatre how interesting! From there, it's just a short walk to the museum.
Upon arrival, if you head right around the building, facing the giant frog sculpture, you'll find what should be the North Entrance. Once inside, it's easy to get a little lost (in a good way!), as there are so many interesting paths to explore.
Key Highlights:
The Giant Apple Sculpture: Head to the outdoor area on the third floor, and you'll find a massive apple sculpture—it's truly impressive in size!
Outdoor Sculptures: There's also another very large outdoor sculpture, which looked quite dramatic even on a rainy day during my visit.
The museum's architecture itself is a sight to behold, offering a sprawling and engaging space to discover art. It's a wonderful place to spend a few hours, whether you're an art enthusiast or simply looking for a unique experience in Kobe!
