📍Address: 2 Chome-1-9 Nunobikicho, Chuo Ward, Kobe, Hyogo 651-0097, Japan
This was my first visit to Kobe, a city with both mountains and the sea. I chose this hotel near Sannomiya for its convenience, and it turned out to be a great value. A twin room costs less than 1,000 HKD per night. It's just a 7-minute walk from Kobe-Sannomiya Station and also within walking distance to the Shinkansen station, Shin-Kobe Station, making it very convenient. From the hotel, you can leisurely walk to the Sannomiya shopping area, Ikuta Shrine, and Nankinmachi Chinatown, showcasing the compact and accessible layout of Kobe's city center. There's also a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it easy to travel around Kobe.
⭐️Hotel Design:
Four Points Flex by Sheraton is a budget-friendly chain under Marriott's Sheraton brand in Japan, launched in 2024. The overall design is minimalist, emphasizing a "reliable, simple, and affordable" concept with blue and yellow as the main color scheme. It offers excellent value for budget-conscious travelers and is ideal for Marriott members looking to earn points.
⭐️Hotel Facilities:
The hotel has 199 rooms, including 13 sqm single rooms, 18 sqm twin rooms, and 23 sqm accessible rooms. Each floor is equipped with water dispensers and ice machines for daily needs. We stayed in a twin room that featured a small sofa by the window, perfect for enjoying coffee while taking in the street view. On the first floor, there’s a laundry room and vending machines. Right next to the entrance is a Matsuya fast-food restaurant where you can enjoy a convenient Japanese-style breakfast. A Lawson convenience store is just a one-minute walk away, so you’ll never have to worry about late-night snacks.
⭐️Hotel Services:
The hotel lobby on the first floor offers self-service amenities like yukata, toiletries, cotton pads, and cosmetics, reflecting the meticulous and thoughtful service typical of Japanese hotels. One minor downside is that daily housekeeping requires you to place a "Please Clean My Room" magnet on the wall before you leave for the day. If you forget, your room won’t be cleaned that day. This seems to be a cost-saving measure to manage labor and promote sustainability.
