This is the most famous building among the Kobe Kitano Ijinkan.
It is called "Weathercock House" because there is a weathercock on the spire.
It was the home of German trader Thomas.
It is on high ground so the view is outstanding. The slope is steep so please wear comfortable shoes.
It was a lovely Western-style building made of bricks that was also the setting for a morning drama.
