The long-awaited day has finally arrived 🥰 Allow me to share my review of Irene Resort, Koh Lipe. I booked a 5-night stay.
We arrived at Koh Lipe on Saturday at 2:30 PM. The journey started from Brisbane the night before, with a connecting flight in Singapore to Langkawi, followed by a ferry from Kuah Jetty to the island. It was exhausting, but the sight of the crystal-clear turquoise sea and the pristine white sandy beach made it all worthwhile.
Irene Resort provided a pick-up service, and the check-in process was very welcoming. Since I booked directly with the resort, I received a complimentary set dinner for one night and welcome cocktail vouchers for the pool bar.
I stayed in the Sand Pool Villa. The room was clean, beautiful, and spacious, with three levels. The bed area opens directly to the private pool. The living room and minibar are on the middle level, while the bathroom and dressing area are on the top level. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, and there was a rain shower as well. The bathtub was huge. The private pool was clean and located right by the beach, offering stunning views.
The staff here were very friendly and provided excellent service. I felt sorry for them at times when I saw some foreign guests yelling at them 😞. They truly try their best, and small mistakes can happen. When on vacation, it's important to focus on enjoying yourself rather than nitpicking minor issues.
The spa here was fantastic. I purchased the Lovers Escape package, which included a 90-minute treatment with a lemongrass-scented body mask, a wrap, a bath, followed by a Thai herbal ball massage and hot stone therapy. The therapists were highly skilled. I used to wonder why spa services at 5-star resorts were so much more expensive than local massage shops, but after experiencing it, I understand. The quality, training of the therapists, and ambiance are truly top-notch.
Breakfast here is served as set menus with a variety of delicious options. You can choose to dine at the restaurant or have it served in your villa, where they float it in a basket in the pool. The coffee was excellent.
Other meals were also delicious. We had dinner by the beach and ordered in-villa dining, and everything was amazing.
The only regret is that 6 days and 5 nights felt too short. Tomorrow, we have to check out, but we will definitely return. After this, we’re heading to Bangkok for a week of shopping and eating before heading back home to Australia.
