Wat Plai Laem

Wat Laem Suwannaram, or as the locals of Koh Samui like to call it, Wat Plai Laem, is an old temple that was established in 1880. It is located in Ban Plai Laem, towards the north of Koh Samui. There are many sacred objects for worship, such as the thousand-handed Guan Yin, Phra Sangkachai, and a church in the middle of the water surrounded by large lotus petals. Around the church, there is also a fish pond. The beauty and grandeur of the temple make it a popular place for tourists to worship and take pictures as souvenirs.
