[Kitakyushu Trip] In places like this...

During a trip to Kitakyushu, I visited Kokura.
I booked a hotel near Kokura Station.
I had some time before check-in, so I wandered around looking for somewhere to have tea.
When I spotted what looked like a small sign at the entrance to an old apartment building,
I was surprised to find a shop there!
!

Excitedly, I climbed the stairs,
and opened the door...
A truly lovely and relaxing space, unlike what you'd expect from the exterior.

It was a small coffee shop with only eight seats and a single owner.

The gentle owner carefully brewed each cup of coffee,
and I enjoyed the Japanese and Western sweets that complemented it.

If coffee isn't your thing,

The snack for the day was
cheesecake 🧀

It was not too sweet and
it paired perfectly with coffee 🙆♀️

It felt like visiting a friend's house
in this relaxing space
and I spent a relaxing time...

It was very relaxing 🥰
