During a trip to Kitakyushu, I visited Kokura, a place I'd always wanted to try. It's a beloved oden bar in Kokura, Kitakyushu, that's been a favorite for over 50 years and has even been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand. 🍢
They're committed to "preserving the flavor of the dashi" and are always searching for ingredients that will deliver the same traditional flavor.❣️
The sweet broth soaks into the ingredients perfectly, making it incredibly delicious.♡
The dishes and presentation are also beautiful.✨
They have over 30 varieties, but I particularly liked the garland chrysanthemum, pouches, and Yasuoka leek.🥰
In addition to oden, I was also happy to be able to enjoy Kyushu specialties like "sesame mackerel."☺️
The restaurant only has counter seating.
I absolutely love the retro Showa-era atmosphere.♡
