Komodo Island is located at the westernmost tip of East Nusa Tenggara Province. Komodo dragons thrive on Komodo Island. According to data, as of mid-2009, the island was home to approximately 1,300 Komodo dragons (approximately 2,500 across all islands in the Komodo National Park). Komodo dragons are the largest lizard species in the world, with an average length of 2-3 meters and a body weight of at least 90 kg.
Komodo dragons are found only on Komodo Island, East Nusa Tenggara. Komodo dragons are one of Indonesia's unique animals. As good citizens, we are obligated to protect them by protecting their habitat.
