Tanjung Aru Beach was an absolute gem and a must-visit while in Kota Kinabalu. The golden stretch of sand, calm blue waters, and the laid-back atmosphere made it an ideal spot to relax and take in nature’s beauty.
What really stood out was the breathtaking sunset. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky transformed into a breathtaking palette of orange, pink, and purple. It was one of the most picturesque sunsets I’ve ever seen. The beach itself was clean and fairly well-maintained, with plenty of space to walk, sit, or even have a picnic.
There were also a variety of local food stalls and vendors near the beach offering tasty snacks like grilled corn, coconut shakes, and satay. It added a nice local flavor to the visit without being too touristy.
If you're into photography or just need a peaceful place to unwind by the sea, Tanjung Aru Beach delivers. It’s not crowded in the mornings, and evenings are alive with local families and visitors enjoying the breeze.
Overall, the beach is a simple yet beautiful spot that captures the heart of Sabah's coastal charm. I highly recommend for a sunset stroll or a chill evening by the sea.
