This small peninsula, lined with limestone cliffs, is a popular spot for rock climbing and scuba diving. Located between Krabi Town and Ao Nang Subdistrict, Thailand, it's only accessible by boat due to the high limestone cliffs cutting off the mainland. These cliffs attract climbers from around the world, but the area is also popular for its beautiful beaches and peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. Accommodation ranges from mid-range bungalows and resorts in Railay East Beach to luxury resorts concentrated in Railay West Beach. One, Roi Wadi, encompasses the entire waterfront and also features beachfront restaurants in Phra Nang Bay. Railay's four main areas are Phra Nang, Railay West, Railay East, and Ton Sai. Ton Sai is more suitable for climbers and backpackers, and offers a more rustic feel than the luxury of Railay West. Shops and restaurants line the boardwalk along Railay East.
