We went on this excursion midweek. Luckily we bought the ticket from a couple who were too uncomfortable to go and were leaving Cuba. The fare offered on the plane before landing is preferable to that once there, about $235 for 2 people in Canadian money but paid by visa. A bus takes you to the hotel and takes you to a catamaran that transports you to the island. Free toilet and bar available during the excursion on the catamaran. A small 30 minute snorkel stop and possible for people who are quite good swimmers as there is no flotation jacket available. Once you arrive on the island you have the opportunity to take a jungle excursion in a small or large jeep, we managed to have the little one who is more friendly on the comfort side! There are some exotic animals to see in a jungle-style natural habitat that is rather fun... bring bananas to feed them and manage to get close! The beach of this island is beautiful and worth taking a moment to relax. A buffet is included in the price of the excursion however the bar is cashable, bringing your credit card is ideal to pay your consumption. Return towards the end of the afternoon to the buses that will take you safely back to your hotel. Children will also enjoy it.
