Kuala Lumpur offers a plethora of Marriott hotels, ranging from the luxurious St. Regis to the more budget-friendly Fairfield Inn. Compared to other major Southeast Asian cities (especially Singapore!), KL truly stands out as a value-for-money destination for these brands.

Considering price, location, and style, my recent stay at Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur, part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, was absolutely worth recommending!

The Room

The rooms here beautifully blend a touch of colonial charm with modern sensibilities. After getting tired of generic business hotels, I found this place to be genuinely well-designed. Even though I stayed in a Studio room, its well-planned, square layout made the space feel much larger. Plus, finding a bathtub at this price point is a rare bonus!

The Pool

The rooftop pool is definitely a major highlight here. Given the hotel's more intimate size, the pool area rarely felt crowded. From here, you get fantastic views of the iconic KL Tower. In the evenings, you can enjoy a drink at the poolside bar while taking in the dazzling city lights.

Hotel Stripes offers a refreshing and stylish stay that provides excellent value in Kuala Lumpur's vibrant hotel scene.
