Having been to Malaysia 🇲🇾 so many times, Kuala Lumpur is the city in my heart that combines great food, fun, and shopping all in one place.
I’ve summarized the essential 3-day itinerary, save it and you can just follow along!
【3-Day Itinerary】
Day 1️⃣ Kuala Lumpur Business District + Landmark Buildings
🚩Route: Pavilion KL ➡️ Bukit Bintang ➡️ Jalan Alor ➡️ KLCC Park ➡️ Petronas Twin Towers
Pavilion KL: A huge shopping mall with everything from shopping to dining
Bukit Bintang: The famous McDonald’s photo spot and cyberpunk light rail night view are both at the intersection
Jalan Alor: A bustling night market food street, surrounded by international restaurants and massage/spa spots
KLCC Park: The perfect photo spot facing the Petronas Twin Towers by the lake
Petronas Twin Towers: You can book in advance to visit the Sky51 bar opposite for a direct night view of the towers
Day 2️⃣ Historical Buildings + Off-the-Beaten-Path Cultural Route
🚩Route: Petaling Street ➡️ Central Market ➡️ Jamek Mosque ➡️ Merdeka Square ➡️ National Textile Museum ➡️ National Mosque
Petaling Street: Great for photos and check-ins; nearby RexKL is a trendy hangout for young people
Central Market: Various Malay handicrafts and an outdoor market for food and shopping
Jamek Mosque: The bridge by the river is a great photo spot, showing the contrast between the mosque and the skyscrapers behind
Merdeka Square: Check in at the I❤️KL installation
National Mosque: One of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia, worth visiting inside
Day 3️⃣ Religious Art + Museum Area
🚩Route: National Museum ➡️ Little India ➡️ Moroccan Mosque ➡️ Pink Mosque
National Museum: Don’t miss it if you’re interested in Malaysia’s history, culture, and development achievements
Little India: Streets filled with the scent of spices, colorful shops, making you feel like you’re in India
Moroccan Mosque: Along with the Pink Mosque, considered the most beautiful mosques in Malaysia; the Moroccan-style cloisters are very photogenic
Pink Mosque: Recommended photo spot is at the Lakeside Club on the opposite shore; the pink dome inside is beautiful to visit
【Hotel】

Excellent location, right opposite Pavilion KL, about a 10-minute walk to KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Jalan Alor, and several popular restaurants.
