📍 Dona Bakehouse, Kuala Lumpur Review

I visited the newly opened Dona Bakehouse branch in TSLAW Tower, Imbi, KL. I was excited to see this bakehouse brand, which originated in Johor, open in downtown KL. Many reviews described it as an "Instagrammable cafe + bakery + brunch."

🍞 Atmosphere & Interior

The interior was a perfect mix of modern industrial and cozy elements, with plenty of photogenic spots. The wall finishes, lighting, and furniture arrangements were all thoughtfully done, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I walked in. However, the quiet atmosphere was somewhat disrupted by the crowds during busy times.

🍰 Food & Bakery
• Many reviews cite the pastries & croissants as their strength. Reviews have highlighted the pistachio croissant and "pain suisse" as particularly popular.
• Signature drinks like the Rose Latte were well-received, and many people also praised the dessert-drink pairings.
• The lunch menu also features brunch items like Eggs Benedict and Truffle Mushroom Spaghetti. However, some reviews noted that "the quality of the main menu isn't as consistent as that of the bread and desserts."

👍 Pros & Cons & Tips

Pros
• Many reviews say the bread/dessert quality is generally excellent.
• The interior and photogenic elements make it appealing to those looking for a cozy cafe.
• The brunch menu also offers a variety of options, making it a great place to combine bakery and meal.

Cons
• Service can be slow during busy times, and some have complained about poor staff management.
• Prices are higher than local cafes—feels like "premium bakery prices."
• Some reviews say the main menu items sometimes don't meet expectations.
• Some reviews note that seating is limited during busy times and there's a 1.5-hour time limit.

👉 Overall
Dona Bakehouse KL's charm lies in its "photogenic atmosphere + strong bakery expertise." If you love bakeries and desserts, it's worth a visit. However, it would be safer to focus on the bread/dessert line rather than the food menu, and it would be better to avoid crowded times.
