While wandering around downtown KL, I heard "I heard that famous bakery opened," so I stopped by. The atmosphere and selection of desserts were quite nice. It's located in a corner of the commercial district inside a building, making it easily accessible and a great place to take a break from shopping or work.
The interior is a mix of vintage and modern sensibilities, with wood tones, warm lighting, and the bakery display cases all blending well. The charm of the display case makes you hesitate for a moment before deciding what to buy.
I tried the Pistachio Rose Croissant and the Raspberry Cream Cheese Swirl. The croissant was crispy on the outside but not too crumbly, and the inside was moist and well-textured. The filling wasn't overly sweet, but had a slightly nutty flavor, which wasn't overwhelming. The swirl had a subtle fruity acidity.
I had it with coffee, but the coffee was a bit disappointing. Some reviews say they had high expectations based on the menu, but the milk and coffee balance wasn't quite up to par, or the flavor wasn't quite up to par.
Because it's quite crowded, some items are out of stock during peak hours, and the bread and pastries often sell out quickly. So, you have to plan your visit accordingly. The price range is a bit higher than other bakeries, but considering the "taste + ambiance + location," it's understandable.
👉 Overall: It didn't live up to expectations, but it's a decent choice for "when you're craving bread + want a charming cafe atmosphere and dessert." I recommend the croissant & swirl, and I think you should consider the coffee as well.
