The magnificent Kumamoto Castle

I have always wanted to see Kumamoto Castle, one of the three largest castles in Japan. When I read about how the castle was rebuilt after the fire and earthquake, I was impressed by the Japanese people's insistence on restoring the castle to its original appearance. It takes 15 minutes by train from Kumamoto Station. When I got off the train and saw the moat, I was shocked by the scale of the castle. I walked all the way up to the top and was even more amazed by the scenery of the castle. I just saw the Kumamon fan meeting when I came down. It was so cute!
