At Ninomaru Square on the hill of Kumamoto Castle, you can see the "big and small castle towers and Uto Gurney" of Kumamoto Castle. On the right side of the front is the large castle tower, which was built by Kato Kiyomasa; in the center of the front is the small castle tower, which was built as a separate building after the large castle tower was built, and the two are connected by a passage. In addition to admiring the fortress, this place is also a great place to enjoy cherry blossoms in spring, and it is hard to get a spot when they bloom.
All city government activities are held here. It happened to be spring break in Japan, so there was a Kumamoto Castle Food Festival and outdoor activities by a private insurance agency. Although the cherry blossoms haven't bloomed yet, there are many food trucks and the atmosphere is great. Let's try the Japanese BBQ beef rice first!
