Cuihu Park in Kunming

Cuihu (Green Lake) Park is surrounded by water and greenery, with bamboo and willow trees flourishing throughout the year, giving it its name. Known as the 'Green Jewel' of Kunming, this park boasts a long history and rich cultural background. During the late Yuan Dynasty, it was called 'Caihaizi,' and in the Qing Dynasty, it was also known as 'Jiulongchi.' Later, during the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty, the Ruan Dike was built, and during the Republic of China period, the Tang Dike was constructed, giving the park its current appearance.

The park features various attractions such as Biyi Pavilion, Haixin Pavilion, Jiulongchi, Guanyu Pavilion, and Lotus Zen Garden. It offers a unique landscape described as 'a world of lotus flowers and fish, a splendid city with willows and pagodas.' The serene lake, lined with trees and ancient architecture, makes it a perfect spot for photography. Visitors can leisurely stroll through the greenery and capture beautiful moments, making it an ideal place for relaxation.
