Su'ao Port, located at the southern tip of Yilan, is one of the most important ports in northeastern Taiwan. Located at the confluence of the Kuroshio and Oyashio Currents, it is not only a natural sheltered harbor, but also, thanks to its unique geographical location, a key hub integrating fishing, commerce, and tourism.
Su'ao Port, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side, enjoys a secluded and stable terrain. Historically, it has been a vital military and trade port in northern Taiwan. In recent years, the port area has gradually developed into an international commercial port.
