Flowering Period
- Early Bloom: Usually around April 15th, with sporadic blossoms appearing on the tops of some trees.
- Full Bloom: From April 25th to May 15th, the flowers bloom densely.
- Late Bloom: Starting from May 20th, the petals gradually wither.
Viewing Locations
- Jiaochang Middle Road: Kunming's most famous Jacaranda avenue, with 551 Jacaranda trees. The trees have large crowns and abundant flowers, and there is also a Jacaranda-themed background wall.
- Panlong River Banks: The Jacaranda trees and the Panlong River complement each other. There are Jacaranda trees within reach on both sides of the walkway, and there is also a special flower viewing route by boat.
- Hongjin Road, North City District: At least a thousand Jacaranda trees are planted in the Hongjin Road area of the North City District. There are also Jacaranda trees planted in the surrounding Hetang Yuese and Yueyatang Park.

Growth Habits and Characteristics
- Origin of the Species: Jacaranda is native to South America. In 1984, the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced nine Jacaranda trees from Algeria for the first time, and they were later planted on the streets of Kunming.
- Morphological Characteristics: A deciduous tree belonging to the Jacaranda genus of the Bignoniaceae family. The flowers are blue-purple, trumpet-shaped, and arranged in terminal or axillary panicles. The tree is tall with lush branches and leaves.
- Growing Environment: It prefers sunny, warm, and humid climates. It grows well in Kunming's unique climate, gradually changing from a deciduous tree species to a semi-deciduous one.
