Yuantong Temple, located in Kunming, China, is a historic temple with a history of over 1,200 years. One of its most distinctive features is the octagonal pavilion situated in the middle of a pond within the temple grounds. Additionally, Yuantong Temple houses the revered statue of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy.
Surrounding the temple is a serene garden filled with flowers and trees, providing a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Behind the temple, there is a hill with stairs leading up to it. Nearby, you can also find the Kunming Zoo.

How to get there: The most convenient options are taking a taxi or using the Didi app. If traveling by subway, the nearest station is Yuantongshan Station, followed by a 900-1000 meter walk.
