I spent a quiet morning at the Yunnan Provincial Museum and was really impressed. The building is modern and spacious, with beautifully organized exhibitions that cover Yunnan's ancient history, ethnic cultures, bronze art, and even dinosaur fossils. It's completely free. Don't forget to make reservation before. Just bring your passport or ID to enter.

By Taxi: Ask for “云南省博物馆” (Yunnan Provincial Museum), address: 6393 Guangfu Road
