Xiantai Mountain, one of the main scenic spots of Taihang Grand Canyon, is located at the junction of Shanxi, Hebei and Henan provinces. It is located in Shibanyan Township, Linzhou City, Anyang, at the west entrance of Taihang Tunnel. It is in Linzhou City, Henan Province, the hometown of the Red Flag Canal. It is a national key scenic spot, a national AAAA-level tourist area, and an important part of Linlu Mountain Scenic Area, a calligraphy and painting sketching base of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
The landscape of Xiantai Mountain is divided into upper, middle and lower levels. The Xiantai Mountain Archway on the lowest level is a unique Dahongpao stone building on the southern foot of Taihang Mountain. It has a unique style. You can walk on the stone steps through Tongtian Gate and climb the railings to go straight up to Tongtian Gorge. Every step you take is a scenic spot and every stone is a wonder.
There are dozens of unique natural landscapes such as Mushroom Peak, Sleeping Eagle Rock, Pearl Waterfall, Fairy Peach Peak, and Sun-Watching Peak; there are also many cultural landscapes such as Jiangting, Heshui Temple Ruins, Shengxiantai, Xiaoputuo, Lotus Pond, and Fairy Mirror.
Boasting a temperate monsoon climate, the scenic area offers unique scenery throughout the year. In spring, mountain flowers bloom and birds sing; in summer, waterfalls flow and the mountains are washed clean; in autumn, crimson leaves blanket the mountains, dyeing the forests ablaze. In winter, streams freeze over, creating a sea of snow and icefalls. The renowned Linlu Mountain International Paragliding Base is located at the summit of the scenic area, and from the summit of Xiantai Mountain, one can enjoy sweeping views of the magnificent Taihang Grand Canyon. It's a great place to visit in all seasons.
The solitary Xiantao Peak offers the best vantage point for panoramic views of the Taihang Grand Canyon and is a landmark attraction, hailed by experts as the "Fairy Terrace Overlooking the Distance." The 21.8-meter-tall Guanyin statue, the largest in northern Henan, nestled amidst lush greenery, shimmers with a mysterious aura. The oracle-bone inscriptions of the Twelve Chinese Zodiac Signs and the Hundred Family Names showcase the perfect fusion of ancient rock formations and ancient writing, transporting you into a unique realm of "leaning on the stone to explore the past."
