The lake at Kunming’s Shui Park (Green Lake Park) spans about 15 hectares within the 21 ha urban oasis. Its clear emerald waters are divided by two traditional causeways into several charming islets, including Mid‑Lake, Bamboo Forest, Palm, and Goldfish Islets. Floral displays of lotus and willows frame the water. In winter, thousands of black‑headed gulls from Siberia gather, allowing visitors to feed them. Locals practice tai chi, dance, or relax along the lakeshore. The tranquil waters mirror pavilions and sky, blending nature with daily life.
