Erhaiyuan High Mountain Camping Stunning Spot

From Kunming to Erhaiyuan, this healing short trip not only checked in at a popular hotel but also encountered an amazing camping experience at Niaodiaoshan. Here’s a two-day, one-night off-the-beaten-path travel guide for you～

【Day 1】Artistic Rest in Kunming City
🏨 Stay at AnanasCamelia Anshe·Kaimili Hotel (No. 86 Dongfeng East Road, C86 Camellia Workshop Building C)
✨ Surprise experience: Right at the hotel entrance, we were greeted by a welcoming cat! The smart home system + French ins style made for great photos, and the front desk guy thoughtfully helped us book a shuttle to Nanping Street. The rooftop petal bath with bath salts instantly washed away the travel fatigue～

【Day 2】Erhaiyuan Secret Hiking
🚗 Drive 2 hours to Niaodiaoshan (County Road 089)
⛰️ Hiking tips: It’s recommended to start before 9 AM. Walking along the ridge offers a panoramic view of Erhai Lake. Remember to bring a windbreaker as the wind at the summit is very strong! We had a picnic on the meadow where herders were grazing sheep and encountered flocks of wild birds—a completely natural and healing experience.

🌄 Camping bonus: We contacted a local guide in advance to set up the tent campsite. Watching the sunset dye the entire sky pink and purple in the evening, the Milky Way was super clear far from light pollution in the mountains! Just note the big temperature difference between day and night, so bring heat packs.

🍲 Return food recommendation: After returning to Kunming, head straight to the cultural alley next to the hotel. We recommend the creative Yunnan cuisine at "Camellia Workshop," and the signature truffle risotto is amazing!

Tips:
1. The hotel location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to Metro Line 3
2. Niaodiaoshan has no entrance fee, but some sections are muddy during the rainy season
3. The UV rays on the plateau are extremely strong! Sunglasses and sunscreen are a must
