Based on the Lungshan Temple in Lukang, Taiwan, Kunshan Huiju Temple combines the architectural essence of Minnan and Taiwanese-style temples, such as Quanzhou Kaiyuan Temple and Tianhou Temple. The main buildings in the temple include the Shanmen (mountain gate), Hall of Heavenly Kings, Bell and Drum Towers, Yuantong Hall, Tianhou Temple (Mazu Temple), and Hall of Samantabhadra, forming a magnificent overall layout.
Huiju Temple highlights Mazu culture. The Tianhou Temple enshrines the Mazu deity, which was consecrated from the Tianhou Temple in Lukang, Taiwan, attracting a large number of believers and tourists to worship. It is also the largest Mazu temple in East China, serving as an important place for cross-strait cultural exchange.
Huiju Temple is adjacent to "Another Village on Treasure Island", a unique neighborhood with Taiwanese characteristics. Visitors can take photos, taste Taiwanese food, buy cultural and creative products, and experience the cultural charm of Taiwan.
