Kurashiki Ivy Square is a picturesque spot in Kurashiki, Okayama. This historic area is known for its beautiful ivy-covered red brick buildings (originally from the Kurabo factory), traditional Japanese architecture, and quaint streets filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Visitors can stroll through the square, enjoy local goods, and experience the retro atmosphere of old Japan. Admission is free.
There was a hotel nearby, but we didn't visit since we spent plenty of time strolling through Bikan; instead, we walked around to admire the buildings and surrounding greenery.
We were tempted to try pottery etching at the pottery studio, but considering our travel schedule, it might have taken too much time.
You'll want to allocate plenty of time to soak in the peaceful and relaxing vibe of walking through Ivy Square.
