The temople is only a few stops from Fushimi Inari on the Keihan Main line.
It is about a 20 minute walk up to the temple but the main street leading to the temple has lots of exciting shops and snacks.
The views of Kyoto from around the temple are breathtaking especially at the end of November with lots of red maple.
The serene atmosphere within the temple grounds invites leisurely strolls and quiet contemplation.
However take note that the place is very very crowded and you can barely walk in some spots.
Both on the way to and inside the temple was very crowded was made it sometimes difficult to look around and take photos or even to relax to enjoy the view.
