I stayed at the Westin Miyako Kyoto, a hotel in Kyoto. I was upgraded to a junior suite room. It was a very spacious room with a separate living room and bedroom. There were amenities, and bathrobes and pajamas were provided. It was a time when the autumn leaves were beautiful, so there was a nice view from the breakfast venue and the lounge. You can walk to Nanzenji Temple in Kyoto, and it is also within walking distance of the station, so I think it is easily accessible.
