After having lunch at Takatsuji-dori in Kyoto and buying a lot of bread rolls at Maruki Bakery, I strolled around.
I walked to the arcade of Shinkyogoku Shopping Street.
On the way to Shinkyogoku-dori, there are old-fashioned Kyoto townhouses and temples. At the end of the narrow, long alleys that are unique to Kyoto, the road continues. There are retro shops with willow trees and wooden buildings, and mysterious spaces.
Is it because it is Kyoto that the old but not old-fashioned streets are like that?
The antique and miniature car shop is stylish.
The large number of miniature cars displayed in the window and antique miscellaneous goods are colorful and cute.
When I go to Kyoto, I always go to [Maruki Bakery].
The bread rolls are famous, and there is always a long line.
Today, it was too late, and most of the bread other than the bread rolls was sold out, which was disappointing, but this shop has a lot of delicious breads other than bread rolls! .
You can feel the atmosphere of nature, such as a temple for warding off evil, a Japanese-style bar lined with stylish signs, bamboo, trees, and more.
Near the entrance to Shinkyogoku Arcade on Shinkyogoku Street, there are shops selling Japanese Kyoto souvenirs, Mameshiba Cafe, a Chinese restaurant, and a dried flower and cafe.
Take your time and enjoy Shinkyogoku Street for about an hour.
