Kodaiji Temple is a popular spot in Kyoto!! In 2024, Kodaiji Temple will be hosting nighttime cherry blossom illuminations and production mapping🌸
Kodaiji Temple was founded in 1606 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi's wife, Nene, to mourn his death, and is popularly known as "Nene's Temple"😌
It is located in the Higashiyama area, which is home to many popular tourist spots, so it is easily accessible!! You can also walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama Park, and Gion😊　
The hojo of the main hall of Kodaiji Temple has a dry landscape garden called "Hashintei" that is designated as a national scenic spot, and in spring, this garden has a large weeping cherry blossom🌸　
For a limited time only, you can enjoy the weeping cherry blossoms and production mapping💕
The cherry blossoms are a little late this year, but Kodaiji Temple was in full bloom🥰 (Photo taken on March 31, 2024)
I went there before sunset, so I was able to see both the cherry blossoms in the daytime and the illuminated cherry blossoms🌸 (The atmosphere changes completely in about 30 minutes😳)

By the way, Kodaiji Temple also has a bamboo forest!

It was so beautiful, as if there were fireflies 😍 This is one of my favorite spots and I've probably been there for the third time this year ♡ lol
